David J. Crawford
President and Chief Operating Officer, American Home Shield

David Crawford was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of American Home Shield in March of 2006. In his role, Dave is focused on operations and strategy with emphasis on improving the customer experience, retention and profitable growth.

Since Dave joined AHS in March of 1987, he has held a variety of leadership positions within the company. Prior to entering his current role, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales at AHS and was the President of AmeriSpec. He was also Vice President of Real Estate Sales, Southern Region and Eastern Division and served the organization as a regional sales manager.

During his career with AHS, Dave has spearheaded the company’s national expansion efforts and has been instrumental in the long-term planning and strategy for the organization.

Before joining AHS, Dave was the Vice President for ERA Midwest Services and was responsible for franchise sales, regional training and service. He also oversaw the mortgage and insurance division.

Dave earned a B.S. from Iowa State University and is also a Six Sigma Executive Black Belt. He served as the president for the National Home Warranty Association from 1995–1997 and was the vice president from 1994–1995.
