Lisa GoettelLisa Goettel is Senior Vice President of Human Resources of The ServiceMaster Company. She is responsible for developing HR policies and objectives that provide a balanced program throughout all the business units. The major areas under her leadership include organizational planning, organizational development, employment, new hire orientation and training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and employee services. She also serves as a key advisor to senior management on HR issues.

Previously, Lisa was Vice President, Human Resources at The TruGreen Companies; Vice President, Human Resources at World Duty Free; Divisional Vice President, Human Resources at Lord and Taylor.

Under Lisa's leadership, TruGreen achieved several key milestones. Her contributions to these include:

  • Enhancing the human resource capabilities by identifying and acquiring talent
  • Developing an HR scorecard by region, division and business unit
  • Improving employee performance by coaching business leaders to use a balance scorecard approach
  • Driving desired behaviors through compensation plans that aligned with company strategy
  • Transforming learning and development from information-based to a skill-based format
  • Developing leaders through the enterprise-wide management program

Lisa earned a BS in Communication from St. Johns University in 1985 and an MBA from St. Johns University in 1987. She's also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Lisa is an active member of Society of Human Resources, World at Work and the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD).

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys basketball, softball and volleyball. Lisa and her husband, Kevin, have two children, Ashley and Brendan, and live in the Memphis area.
